Work while you look for your calling.

Be willing to take something that you feel is beneath you.

It may be that your resume needs a rework. There are a number of articles, sample resumes and resume templates online that can give you ideas how to organize and word your qualifications and experience for greater impact.

There is a demand for people in your field. In South Jersey the nuclear plant employs hundreds of people. I know of someone who does security there and gets paid top dollar but he has a lot of responsibility and has to carry a gun. I suggest network with anyone you know to see if they can help you in your search. Good luck :)

Hi james may ! If you have found that you are not hearing back from jobs or landing interviews, the issue might be your resume.
If a company uses what’s called a [applicant tracking system] (https://www.thebalance.com/what-is-an-applicant-tracking-systems-ats-2061926) your resume could be slipping through the cracks.
The ATS is a program that companies use to sort through 1,000’s of resumes to find the best possible ones. If it doesn’t recognize what it needs, your resume will be cast aside and likely NEVER be seen by an actual person at that company.
To avoid being passed over, utilize [keywords] (https://www.jobscan.co/blog/top-resume-keywords-boost-resume/) in your resume. When recruiters search for them, they are looking for certain skills in your resume that match up with what THEY need.
Say for example you are applying for a job as the manager of a hotel restaurant, a recruiter may search for phrases such as “restaurant manager” and “hotel restaurant” or search for the word “hospitality.”
Recruiters are not going to search for words and phrases such as “outgoing” and “hard worker.” This is because keywords highlight your skills, not your traits.
Take some time to make a list of yours and add them to the work experience section of your profile so your resume is noticed. Not sure what skills you should add? Check [these out] (https://www.thebalancecareers.com/list-of-the-best-skills-for-resumes-2062422).
Remember to keep searching for jobs [here] (https://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search) and stay positive, you can do this!

Apply for state benefits while looking.
