Advice for finding a full-time position
I need some advice concerning finding a full time position in Accounting. I have an BA in Accounting but have been unable to find a permanent position. I have been working as a temp for over a year now and really want to get a full-time position. Does anyone have any advice? I live in the Atlanta area and I am unable to relocate at this time
Working as a temp is good. I worked three different agencies at once and they really bring out your best qualities! Plus, the more exposure with different companies (clients) the better. Might have to wait until the first of the year to find something more permanent. Companies are assessing their year end between September and December.
Have you tried a staffing agency? A lot of them have a temp and a permanent sector within them, so you'd want to talk to a recruiter who works on the permanent side.
Well Sonyal, You will be busy come the first of the year Have you thought of joinig a firm or H&R Block? Really an accounting full time firm might be the way to go, I get these emails all the time under Get Events Jobs. Google them nd see what they have open.. The best of luck, Lisa Renwick
