Things I learned in the Army that translated to the civilian world
The biggest thing the Army taught me that has helped in the civilian world is just how good of an impression showing up not on time but early to work has on your employer. It is the quickest and easiest way to instill confidence in your employer that they made the right choice in hiring you. It is also a quick an easy way to separate yourself from your fellow civilian employees in managements eyes. It is unbelievable just how many people lackadaisically walk into the office 10 to 15 minutes late without a care in the world.

My aunt retired from the army as a high class cook! Shes now in her mid 60's, resides in a gated community ( beautiful homes), lives in a 5 bedroom home with 4 or 5 bathrooms! I neglected to mention that she has a full pool deck! Her master bedroom is the BOMB with a serious customized closet! She has a fully loaded BMW( newest model) a nice truck, ( both r paid for) plus she just bought a sharp red corvette. She's living the life and enjoying it! I wish/ hope the same for u! Blessings!
Thanks
