I literally got sick on my first day at work. What to expect and how do I make up for it?

Fortunately, I came in around 15mins early and then tried to work normally until around 12:00, but after going to the bathroom 3 times and spending over an hour in total in it, I decided to tell the guys that I needed to go home. The worst part is that besides this one particular, unexpected emergency, I have other health issues that may require more time off for treatment (they don't know about this because I don't know anything either, it's a guess), but thats like a month from now or more. Well what do I do? Because I want to work. For now I told them that I expect to be able to be back tomorrow but will call if it's not the case.

You can't work when your sick. If it goes beyond 48 hours then get a doctors note to bring into work when you return.

That's the worst... I ended up in the hospital a few days into my previous job a few years ago and it took me longer to recover because I was stressed out thinking I was going to get fired. I went back after a week and was well received. Too much time and money is invested in recruiting and hiring a new worker to turn around and fire them for a legit health concern. Focus on getting better and keep good communication with you're boss. Get Well Soon
