What do you think the future of engineering is?
I think we as a society will be constantly advancing with technology which will lead to greater requirements in the engineering field.

Eduardo, depends what type of engineering - but mostly there will always be a need. For one thing we will always need industrial engineers to build bridges, railroads etc. Also software engineers will continue to be in great need. So no need to worry.

Becoming an Engineer is a great achievement , and many enjoy their career. but there is a hazard. More often than not they report to members of management that are incompetent. For example at one place of employment, when ever I reported a safety hazard, I was told "That's not supposed to happen. Usually it did!

Oh yea!! I agree..

Education and computer skills are a must.

see it every day. Just last weekend my grandma beat me down with a sock half full of quarters. As i lay there like a slug (it was my only defense) i noticed she had one of those house arrest ankle bands on. I couldn't help but think that with all the technology in the world, it still couldn't keep me out of harms way. Wait......

You are absolutely correct.
That is very true, so will higher requirements we already have the technology it just have to be slowly implemented into our society in the world.
