Jobs with recruiter
Trying to find a job with Recruiters. How do you ever get past the recruiter stage. I have been out of the work force game since the recruiters have been put into place. It truly is a horrible way of hiring since the company or recruiter doesn't go on your history, skills, etc. My Husband and I are looking for work and both left the hospital we are trying to get a job at, both work for the departments we are trying to get hired back in. Left with great reference. At one point my husband had the manager fighting to get him hired and the recruiter wouldn't hire him. How do you get hire in this recruiter world????? They don't look at your resume, they don't look at all they get, HELP!!!!!
Recruiters are a waste of time. This is what I would do>>go in person or go to the company website. Recruiters make BIG promises to potential employees but can not deliver the GOODS. They are a lot TALK and NO ACTION on your be half.

I agree. It is a horrible way to get employed. My problem was the recruiters wanted much more than what the employers wanted in terms of personal information.
What do they do with all this information??!!

Sorry you're having a tough time. :( I'd love to help! Usually recruiters are taking their cues from management - if your husband is friendly with the manager, perhaps the manager can help explain things? If there is no answer (or if the explanation doesn't make sense), I'd try contacting Human Resources (or ask the manager to contact HR).
Unfortunately, this particular place may have changed over the time you've been gone. If that's the case, take your positive references and use them elsewhere. Recruiters are always looking for great employees ~ plus, you deserve a place that values you & your experience. Keep going - you'll find something that's right for you!

Hi, Michelle - it is very challenging! Something to consider: recruiters (literally) work for the employer. You may want to seek out a "career counseling" agency that will work for you! Yes, it will cost money ... But how much are you "losing" by not working? Think of it as an investment in yourself with an incredible ROI!
