Assembler
I like where I'm working and just about all the people I work with. However, I do NOT like the person who works with me at my assembling machine. It seems like he just treats me like dirt. I try to speed up my pace to keep up with the customer orders. Every time I do that, he gives me a look like "how dare you try to speed my pace up!" He checks his cell phone at least a dozen times a day and has an ear bud in his ear - both clearly against company policy on the production floor. I have told him to stop. He just ignores me. I have thought to tell my supervisor. However, I think I would be the one viewed as the "cry baby" and nothing would be done. I have looked passively for another job. Nothing fits me yet. I dread going to work every day knowing that man will be working with me. I have been just ignoring and not talking to him just to get through the day. Any suggestions????
I feel your frustration! I deal with the same problem. I am the same way. I try, and keep up with the team at my job in fast food, but because I am older, I cannot do things right for the generation that is out there now. They have their picks! They are on thoer phones all the time, have ear buds in thoer ear listen to the music, when phones are not suppose to be in the work area, but you say something you are being mean. You. Say something to management, just well hold your breath. That is how it is at my gig. It is sad, because the ones who take their job serious are the ones who get overlooked, and the ones who do half the job get the praise.but yes, Speak up ! Do not be Bullied! I agree with John report him anonymous that way they can see what you and he does on and off his phone. Most of the places don't allow cell phones on the floor.
It's a damn good thing idiots like him didn't work in American factories during WWII or we would be asking S.S. Officers permission to use the restroom in German!!! Unfortunately these type of people are everywhere in this country and I have yet to win against them when put into the same situation that you are in but I can promise you this he will never be your friend. Just get it over with the motherfucker is poisoning your spirit..
Report him to the supervisor. If you don't report him nothing will be done. The supervisor may not have noticed him doing that
Report him anonymously to the Human Resources Dept.,that's what their there for .
Seems he's nothing but a jealous threat especially if u a good employee people in general find that scary and a threat.keep focus ignore him do your part in due time he will get caught slipping by his own account.forget the snitching part for it will bring u more problems bro and make u look bad some times keeping a lid on things is best.
