Job Stress. Should I quit?
I just stated my new job about a month ago now. It is a sales representative phone job. They want you to get 4 reservations an hour, but it is hard when a lot of people don't want to reserve. The company also wants me to hurry through each call in less than 5 mins. They also wants me to follow their scripting and say some of it the way they want me to say it and change words around in scripting. I'm use to making calls flow in my own words. They got this certain way that is not quite my style. The company also interfer with my calls by taking over my screens where on a call. This is stressing me out.

I would make sure to set up a game plan before you inform them of your 2 weeks. They can let you go that moment if they wish and you'll be left jobless. I always suggest to have a position lined up before your leave a job you don't like. A bad job is better than no job and if you choose to leave you are not able to receive unemployment. Although, I do agree you should quit. Sales is not for everyone and it can really have a toll on someone who doesn't not have the desire to do it.

Tammi, I rarely recommend that someone quit their job. If the company you work for is screening your calls and interfering with your calls and then taking over I can see how that would be stressful. You may want to find another job, however, try to keep that job until you get another one. The economy is getting better but it's still hard to find the job you want. Best Wishes and God Bless.

Hi Tammi what took you so long. What kind of work are you looking for CS. Find out what your passion are and follow them you will be much happier than working with a bunch of micro managers who need that. Suggestion do you like to drive, do you like to travel, would you like to possibly double your salary. I'm a OTR trucker as long as you do your picks and drops on time no one bothers you unless you call dispatch. Dispatch might bother you in the beginning but after a while they will leave you alone . Very little or no STRESS what so ever. Go get your CDL class A BIG RIG, 18 WHEELER LICENSE . There are a lot more woman out there driving these big rigs than you think. Good luck.

I'd say if it is that frustrating, it might be time to look for something else. You can just say it wasn't a good fit.
Good Luck Tammi. I hope you find another job very soon. Pray for help, God answers all prayers. Blessings, Larry
