As someone who has gone to a couple other fast food restaurants that have these, I think it can be helpful. It always you to work through your order and make sure everything is all set. In the places I've been they usually have about 3 kiosks and still have a cashier. I think this definitely helps with speeding things up, but also at McDonalds it could cause congestion as the kitchen could get pretty backed up.
