Stupid questions but.....
How do job fairs work? Do you get interviewed right there? Kind of just hoping for a big change in my life. I have to make it happen soon. Things haven't been going too good for me lately. Thanks for the help.

If you aren't confident, they will be looking for somebody who is. The recruiters do not want to hire bad workers. You could make them look bad. You need to try to impress the recruiters.

Try Home Depot... If you don't get it, try going back to school. Study alot, spend hours in library every day. It will happen.

I have been putting applications. On line. And been told I don't have her or finish high school. I'm not good enough funny I have done this work 30yrs and I think it's because. I'm 75 yrs old I still can work around young ones

Its not not a stupid question if you haven't gone to join you pretty much not know what goes on you make sure you look your best you wear your best shirt shirt tie pants best suit best dress nice shoes your hair combed showered teeth brush please bring a resume and bring a positive attitude

Alvin there are two ways job fairs work one is you show up to a job fair with your resume dress for interview and if they want you when you give them your resume they will interview you on the spot number two is they're handing out applications or taking applications and we'll set up interviews for another time but the majority of the time it's interview of that day at the job fair for the positions are hiring for cuz normally they'll tell you these are the positions were hiring for here's application fill it out here and they'll either interview or set up another date for interview

Job fairs are a group of employers who pay to be at the event to offer their jobs to the best applicants. It's your job to go and snag one. Go walk around and shake hands and give your resume out to as many as you can that interest you. Things might get busy so be prepared to have to wait or take a walk around and come back to someone later. Wear nice clothes and have ?'s to ask them!

It's not a stupid question! They are set up usually like this:
All of the employers have tables where you can walk up and introduce yourself. They will tell you what positions they have open and ask about your background and experiences.
You could get an interview right there, but if it goes well they will usually schedule one for you at their location. You have the right mindset for the job fair! Be sure to read some of the tips and tricks posted in this group for the job fair! You can also find a helpful conversation here.

Only limit is yourself. go get that job!

Don't be nervous, be confident. Sorry things have been tough for you lately. I have had a tough year myself. You can get a job at the fair if you sell yourself. Practice talking about why you are a good fit. Find out what companies will be there and see what jobs they have. Do a little research. Good luck Alvin.
This will be a great opportunity for you make sure you have plenty resumes to hand out and go to booths that you would see yourself doing. Get a career not just a job.
