What would you do if this happened to you at work?
A worker at a Goodwill found over $42K in a pile of donated sweaters. They contacted the former owner to give the money back. What would you do if you found a pile of cash at work?

I would give it back. I don't need or want satan in my life. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Honesty is part of a person's integrity and it is dishonest to keep something that someone inadvertently left in an item which was returned/donated to anyone.

My conscience wouldn't allow me to keep it. I would return it.

Being blessed with returning is a gift in itself

If you got 42 grand in your old clothes you probably don't need it. I would hold it for a month and if no one claimed it , it would become a Ford F150. I've lost things in my life and no one has ever returned any of them.

Honestly, I would go to Crete and eat dolmas on the beach. Then I'd go to Croatia and eat something else.

I would return it too but I have to wonder how does this happen? Perhaps the person who hid the money was suddenly incapacitated afterwards (car accident or stroke) and some other family member packed things up not knowing the money was there. That's the lesson - always go through everything you donate. I make sure everything I donate is clean and folded nicely. I know they launder everything anyway but jeez oh man, have enough care about your things to donate carefully, properly, and thoughtfully.

Same thing she did

Good answer!!!!
I surely would give it back. Good values we learn at home
