First Time Job Seeker

I'm a 19 year old 2015 high school graduate looking for my first job. I'd like to start out on a steady job because I have no prior experience. I have, however, had experience in high school English. Since my 2015 graduation, I have written a novel called Sunshine City and I am in the process of editing it. I would be able to execute writing jobs such as blogs and journalistic jobs. I would like to have a job close to home because I do not have my own vehicle and I'm in the process of taking my license test. I will have a ride, by another driver, to and from the work place so there is no need to worry. I have to pay insurance if I have a license and that is why I need a job. I wish that I can be the worker you have been looking for. If you would like my resume, please call me at (541) 621-4737 or contact me at ryliebacon@yahoo.com Thank you.

There's a great online writing company called TextBroker.com. It's a 1099 (independent contractor) job where you decide what to do and when. You'd write text for product descriptions, reviews, etc. They assess your writing abilities and don't need a resume. This is a great place to start, even if it's just for extra cash.

If you want to stick with writing, I'd suggest looking into a copy editor position at local publications... community papers, campus newspapers, church newsletters, local websites, circulars, etc. Copy editing is a great way to get your foot in the door.

Good luck!
