Legit? Legal?? What in the world???

I've been applying for remote/work from home employment and have received several offers for this one position which sounds very odd to me. The job description is to receive packages, inspect them, take photos/document/email inspection to employer and then send them on. Ummm...So you open a package that is already on it's way to the recipient.. inspect, document..and then drop back in the mail??? Is this even legal??? ~~Job Description: Logistics Inspector

I know Wendy. I called our local P.O. and was given the national number. She jokingly called them 'The Post Office Police'. It's basically their Branch of F.B.I./Homeland Security. Those folks mean business. I know that I certainly want one of them on my shirttails!

It's most likely a scam. They might send you stolen stuff from eBay and ask you to ship it overseas. I would run, run, run far from this

It's to bad really. My Daddy always did tell me that if it seems to good to be true then it isn't! The pay offered on this job was odd yet oh SO tempting! $1,700.00 + $15.00 per processed package the 1st month $2,300.00 + $10.00 " " " each mo. following. I think that I trashed the 1st email I received because -1- We just bought a home in Ga. & had our garage enclosed & turned into our 'fun cave'...I certainly didn't want it, or any other room in our home, filled with a constant influx of boxes! -2- It was TO suspicious. So much so that it insulted my intelligence. It wasn't until my 2nd email came in about this that my curiosity was peeked to the point that I thought I would share the situation with all of you. This is a great community. I appreciate each & everyone of you!

Hi Sara! This sounds like a re-shipping scam to me, which can land you in serious legal trouble if you become involved! It's a fancy way for scammers to launder money and goods, and the packages you're inspecting likely either hold stolen goods, or goods purchased with stolen bank account or credit card information. I absolutely recommend cutting off contact with this company immediately!

I've seen this same thing on an NBC investigative report. In Atlanta we've had people go to jail for being party to a crime, mail violations......etc..... Leave this alone. You wouldn't look good in blaze orange.....

Illegal Contraband! In case usps catches it, you will be the sender, not them. report them to the US Postal Inspecter.

Okay. I should have added that they did provide a company name: Oscar Floyd Delivery Express Company (OFDEx).

I've heard of this before, hell as long as they don't ask you to put no money up what you got to lose?

Don't. It's a money laundering/receipt of stolen goods scam. You could get in serious legal trouble
