What training do I need to get qualified for a Clerk job?

What type of clerk job are you looking at? I worked as a unit clerk at the University of Michigan hospitals, and I had to learn medical terminologies, all the test ticket ordered, and all the hospital protocols. I.e. calling a code etc. if you’re applying for regular clerk jobs all the information above is correct.

For a Clerk position, you would need to know typing, filing, know how to answer a phone, copying, faxing.

Bookkeeper Certificate Or Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Sciences. Last two also can carry a four year degree. Bachelor Degree.

Yes

I'm from NJ, you have to take the civil service test

Computer skills and customer service skills are among the top. Most places will train you, however, having those skills will definitely help. A lot of times phone skills (usually multi line phones) is also something you will need. Good luck

That's great

If u r computer literate a fast learner with good customer service skills u will be fine as a clerk especially if the employer does not mention a degree or yrs experience is needed
