Seeking full time work with a stable company
If anyone out there has some good suggestions for me...I'm all ears! I'm 61, with plenty of "work life" left in me and have been having an extremely hard time finding a job with a company that will appreciate my years of knowledge and wisdom that I bring to the table. Most of the companies now only want to hire people on a part-time basis to avoid having to pay any kind of benefits. My work background has always been within the clerical support field, but also have had to work for some security companies when I couldn't find a clerical job. I just started a temp warehouse job, while I'm continuing to look for a full-time job. This warehouse job is a "quota" based job and if a person's output is low, they are the first ones to get sent home early. This has happened to me 2x already since starting this job last Wednesday night. I need full-time to survive, not work a part-time job for only 4 hrs a night! I'm so frustrated, stressed and disappointed right now!
First off, omit the information regarding that you graduated high school. If you have your degree when why do you need the high school information? Keep it down to 10 years of employment and nothing more. Anything beyond that is skills experience not work history. Goto a site called "Retirementjobs.com" further employment.
