Phone Interview

I had a great phone interview with a recruiter on friday afternoon. She had stated she was going to set me up with another interview with a DM for this week coming up. Is that a good sign? I have not interviewed or looked for a job in so long i kinda forgot the good signs from the bad signs. I did not ask the next steps the recruiter automatically wants to set me up an interview. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

That's a really great sign. Just keep in mind that nothing is guaranteed, because she is interviewing others for that said position and if that person seems interesting she is going to set them up for the other interview also. I guess the DM is the one who has the final say. So keep your fingers cross. If that job is for you then no one else shall get it. God is good.

Phone interview? Is this a CDL job? Oh I hate to be negative. But your job, it's so important that it is a good fit. I do not mean this in a personal sense towards the person you spoke to on the phone. But you have to remember they too are doing a job. They likely will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to apply. So I would keep your head clear and remember what your goals are in a new job. They are.just there to get you through the door and will pretty much tell you what you want to hear at the expense of the employer is actually going to offer. Just be careful and don't forget your goals in the job market.

She did it out of favor for you but it wouldn't hurt to ask why she the recruiter, was doing that and not tell you.
