"Homeless"
So I applied for a low income housing apartment and was 3 weeks into the process and the manager goes on vacation and then comes back and says that there was other people poorer than I who called for an apartment while she was on vacation that needed to be processed before me. So I was put back on the waiting list. Is this legal? Which cost me my job. I worked from home off my computer.

I would contact an attorney with LSC.gov for free legal advice. Hope everything is ok with you.

If there is a waiting list and you were next on the list the management. company may be in violation. You should seek the advice of a fair housing lawyer.

Wow I'm sorry that happened to u they just make u wait and wait but there big behinds are not really doing there job properly they give everyone the run arounds sweetie don't let it get to u speak n I do think that's not right.i wish u the best n hope u do get something better.like job n apt. Also

What for real what happened to u

Yes I'm disabled, I have felony on my record, and homeless, can anyone help?

Yeah that's not legal I would go to her manager or boss like somebody else said only if children are involved that they had no children involved you were to be seen as in order

That is bullshit

You need to talk to her manger

That's usually only legal if there are children in the other applicants home.
Hi Robyn, After hearing this, I would seriously consider contacting, your local, H.U.D. Housing and Urban Development Office, and communicate with them, about your situation, and listen to what they have to say, and go from there. To me, just in my opinion, this sounds like, Housing Discrimination, but should be taken to H.U.D. first so they can, investigate it. Investigate first, then take, Legal Action. The First thing I can think of, regarding this situation would be, to, Contact, H.U.D., The reason why is, Housing Discrimination is taken very Seriously. No matter if it is, brand new housing, or low-income housing, everyone is entitled to a fair and equal opportunity to acquire, adequate housing, and your situation is no different, no matter what your financial status is, or isn't. You should be treated with the same level of respect as the nest person, regardless of where they come from or how much they make. I look forward to hearing how you are doing with your situation. Good Luck.
