Meeting the Big Boss

Several of us have been invited to breakfast with the Division Operations Director. How should I prepare to stand out and leave an impression? Should I be thinking about questions to ask?

Hi Doreen, Cory gave some good advice: be yourself! And don't forget that people like to talk about themselves, so your questions can start there... how long has (s)he worked at (company), what changes has she seen, what other role(s) has he had, etc... I think you'll do great - let us know how it goes!

hey Doreen, here are my top 5 - First and most important.. Be Yourself! 2. Be Positive, talk about goals met, objectives reached, and improvements. 3. Speak highly of others, be careful with gossip instead speak highly of your co-workers and highlight collaboration. 5. Know who you're meeting, find out something about your director like (promotion, transfer, marriage, newborn) and congratulate him/her. Sounds like a good time. I've been out to one of these before it's a pretty good time.. good eats! Have fun..
