Start with the school you have graduated from, they should be used as a resource then if not satisfied utilize a recruiter only one that has your back meaning follow up with you on a regular basis oh congratulations for your hard work it will pay off.

Look for a temp to hire service like aerotek..or something like that. Get your experience. Throw it on your resume immediately. It's always easy to get a job when u got one

In Lieu of not having experience you have to sell yourself to the person that is interviewing, you can always say i know i dont have alot/any experience but i am excited to learn and be molded to what your company needs, I am very dependable reliable organized I am easy to get along with ....things like that, the managers want to hear that, like i work well with others and also by myself, I am extremely motivated to get my career going!!!

I See that you live in TN, I Live in Massachusetts we have tons of job openings....I would suggest if you are having a hard time finding a job that start with temp agencies, alot of temp jobs go to Full time, also with temping you can see exactly what you like and not like in the medical field since you can do clinical and clerical...always ask if you can observe/help/or go to any trainings they offer b/c the more you know the more of a valuable employee you are to the company!!!! Also I had tips about going on interviews as petty as it sounds dont let them know anything personal about yourself, i always take my wedding rings off when going on an intrview and i never mention my kids, well when they were little, now i say my kids are older and they are self sufficient so i would never be put b/c of childcare etc....they want to see you as just you no baggage and thats how i present myself with no home drama a mystery...none of there business!!!!

Shahuna, Where did you go to school? If it was one of those on-line programs many times you can call them and ask them to refer you to some jobs. You have a wide area to fill but I know that many hospitals want certified coders but you have to have the experience first. You could take a job in a hospital or front desk and apply internally for positions that come up. You could get into Medical records because that is the backbone of medical claims billing scenario. You could also take a job in a doctors office and learn as much as you can about your skill and then apply for future jobs. There are several jobs on-line Transcribe, Med Script and several others just google it and best of luck to you. Good for you that is impressive

It always seems, employers are looking for experience. Yet they also prefer to hire younger and/or “moldable” staff members. Perhaps do some research on companies hiring in your field, primarily entry level (we all have to start somewhere), and begin building up experience. It sounds worse than it actually is, and won’t take as long as you might think.
