Ellora, my son is the night manager for Taco Bell at I435 & 87th, they are always looking for people, at your age, there are limitations on the hours you can work, but they will work with you.

As long as you are enrolled in school you want need a work permit in Kansas. However child labor laws will limit the hours and times you may work to: The worker can only work during non-school hours Work is limited to 3 hours on a school day and 18 hours during a school week. Work is limited to 8 hours on non-school days and 40 hours during a non-school week Teens can work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. except during the summer (June 1st through Labor Day), when hours are extended to 9 p.m.

Once you are 16 these rules loosen up a little bit but look into grocery stores, retail, fast food, pizza places, restaurants, local pool, and your schools Counselor may have a listing of teen friendly employers in your area. Most jobs are going to pay minimum wage it is unlikely you will find something with decent pay so don't get stuck on the hourly at this moment it is better to find a job. Good Luck!

The issue may be your age. Most companies don't hire below 16. However, I would start with your friends or classmates. I would also check with your local grocery store. I know HyVee hires highschool kids and they will work around your school schedule. Good luck.

The issue may be your age. Several business' cannot hire under the age of 16. If you have friends who work or know someone in school, ypu may want to ask them. I would also start with your local grocery store. If you have a HyVee, check with them. I know the work around students schedules. Good luck.

Fast Food at Bates

Well McDonald's is a start as far as it goes pay is not as good but again your age limits your ability to do much you are not allowed to work with hot objects so pretty much handing food out in drive through or taking cash/orders is what they pay u for

Hey Ellora! I'd suggest you look at movie theaters, grocery stores, and fast food places in your area! Those are great for someone your age.
