I was not working and applied for seasonal help. After the holiday season was over they kept me on. I worked my way to a management position. Retail jobs are not easy jobs but can be very rewarding. The work at JoAnn's is very physical. The people in the store I worked in were great. The customers become familiar with you and each worker has their own things they are good at. This makes the customer experience that much better. Once familiar with the customers and other staff members it is easier to guide the customer to the best possible shopping experience. There are those customers who will only deal with certain team members that they are comfortable dealing with. That is just fine as well. Despite the physical part of the job, it was the best job I ever had. If there had been a full time position for me I would still be there.
