No one will hire me. Been RN for 30 yr, 10 yr as NP. They can figure out my age is around 50 yr old. They are only hiring the new, young graduate RNs because it is 'cheaper' citing poor Medicare and insurance reimbursement. I would be 'too expensive.' Would you rather me take care of you in surgery with the surgeon or a new 21 yr old right out school who has never seen a gallbladder removal? It's getting scary, ya'll.
