Difficult Field to Get Into
This is the million dollar question for me... how do I get a foot in the door?? I have an MBA, Master's Certificate in HRM, and currently getting my doctorate in Public Administration. I have taken a lot of HR courses, but have no experience beyond interviewing, training and on-boarding while in supervising positions. I have applied for entry level level HR positions and cannot even get an interview. I am unable to get a internship b/c I have to work full time to pay the bills and going to school online.

I’m getting my aPHR; you should too.

Are you a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management)? Do you have any Human Resources certifications (SHRM CP or SPC, or HRCI PHR or SPHR)? Those certifications will take you leaps and bounds over other candidates. Also being a member of the organization will open many networking opportunities up for you. Are you on LinkedIn? Lots of connections there as well.

Some companies may feel that you are over qualified, which is only a easy excuse not to hire you. And last but not least, how old are you? These are just a couple of undermined terms. All you could do is stay on job search!
