There actually is a library science degree out there that is required for most jobs at the library. I'm sure you could go to your local library's website and see if they have any available jobs. Then there should be a job description with the requirements.

You can apply as a clerk/admin at your local library. I suggest you there and talk to some of the employees to inquire about open positions and qualifications. Learn all you can from them then go from there.
