phlebotomist

Graduated college in 2011, took a bunch of prerequisites for an ultrasound sonography program (which is still under process) and finished a phlebotomy course in November. I'd like to step in the medical field with what I have. Any help? I wanted to use phlebotomy as a stepping stone for my ultrasound sonography career but have not found a clinic yet

Brenda there are other companies you may try to begin your career. For instance, hospitals, inpatient facilities (e.g. mental health, substance abuse), detox facilities, senior facilities etc. this is a way to gather experience and get a foot in the door. Phlebotomist is a great career with great opportunities.

Hi Brenda: Phlebotomy is a great way to build your medical background! Here is link to a clinic in your area. http://www.dcol.net/diagnostic-clinic-of-longview/physician-practices---job-opportunities.aspx Also, try looking at lab assistant positions!
