Recognizing Limits

We all have our good and bad days at work but how can I identify when it’s time to quit?

Start posting your resume before you quit, its hard our there and remember the grass is never greener on the other side.

Yaknow John, I think the fact you asked the question already provides the answer. I suggest you very discretely begin a quiet jobsearch to see what else is out there. Interviewing at some other companies might give you more information that where you are is better than you thought - or might clarify for you that you need to leave right away. It used to be - heck even 5 years ago - that 'jobhoppin' had a negative conotation to it. Not anymore. So if there is not downside to switching and you are even wondering if you should - time to look around a little bit. Good luck!

I think that really depends on you. If you're leaving work every day unhappy and resentful, it's definitely time to move on. If there are moments here and there that make you unhappy, I think you could go either way. You're not going to perform well in a job you hate going to every day.
