  1. Eat/drink a few hrs before your interview.
  2. Dress nicely, but comfortably (nothing too small or itchy.)
  3. Arrive 15 mins early.
  4. Take a few mins to prep yourself. (Best is to use the restroom, check yourself in the mirror, and do some calming breaths.)
  5. Smile! Easily forgotten when nervous. Remember to smile and shake hands and be overall polite.
  6. Remember: If you space out, forget the question, or can't hear someone, it's OK to ask the interviewer to repeat themselves (politely.)
  7. Try n ot to allow for dead space in the conversation. If you're really stumped by a question you might say: "Wow! That's a good question. You really stumped me there..." instead of "......." It gives you time to think and lets your interviewer know that you're thinking (instead of dead silence just being disconcerting and awkward.
  8. Send a thank you email. Shoot your contact a quick email saying thanks. No need to gush or flatter, just a quick sincere thanks.
