I worked for Home Depot for six years. Left the company not long after coming to this area. Later was widowed. Now remarried and living life. Would love to get back into HD in a PT position. Seems my age is against me even tho my health is better than most 20 yrs younger. I am 76, have been cashier and head cashier at Home Depot, Asst Manager at Family Dollar.. Can't get past the' what year did you graduate' block as they only go back to 64. I graduated in 60. Still have good skills and good work ethics.
I applied and they don't. accept any dates below 1994 isn't this age decimation
Hi Barbara Jackson - have you gone in the store and asked for an application? I don't know how to help you get past the year problem unless you haven't tried calling them, as they may be able to help and override that problem on their end.
The fact that you worked there previously is good, and stands in your favor. Hopefully you get the job soon! The community is here for you. I hope this was of some help.
