Tough call.. I just read an article this morning about a Burger King employee in England who was caught with her infant daughter in the kitchen. A customer took a pic and it went viral.

I don’t think you have too much of an option here other than calling in sick to work today; unless you’re able to find a reliable last minute sitter. Maybe you can call another co-worker and exchange shifts. Most managers are understanding and will allow you to arrive late while you search for a sitter.

Hi Louise, I am so sorry to hear about that. I'm surprised that she gave you no notice so you could find someone else. There are services that have people in place for backup childcare. They will come to your house and take care of your children. You could get someone for a week or two which would also give you time to find someone permanent.
