My Background Process
I did my background on Tuesday of last week. That would make it about 7-8 business days now and i still have "In Process". How long does it normally take? How far do they go back? And what would disqualify me?

I spoke to a cashier at Wal-Mart a couple of days ago. She said she never received a call from them after she submitted her online application. She got the job only after repeatedly contacted them. So, maybe go by the store or call them and introduce yourself.

I lost an opportunity for interview for a government protection position because of poor background checks. I was born in Texas, have extensive law enforcement experience, protection, investigative and chartered a Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force with years of supervisory experience. I won't mention the county in Texas fails to fully put detailed descriptions on their top sheets on booking forms. A person with the same name and date of birth had booked into this counties jail on two (2) occasions and spent a hitch in prison. I've tried different background companies and each one does things differently. They have me living and working places I never had and missing my entire career in law enforcement. When I spoke to them I was told there was nothing that could be done about it because they put in whatever company source they get their information. I'm also a identity theft victim and you want nightmares, especially when the powers that be doesn't to their part even when provided with information. As I write this someone is driving around in a new Camry in my name. Letters and phone calls every day. About to drive me insane.
