Jobcase & Facebook, yingyang
Facebook connects you easily with all your direct friends/family - Jobcase connects you easily with everyone else. We are evolving as a wonderful complement - and its exciting!
One of the beautiful thing about Facebook is how it helps you reach your direct family and friends and, by extension, their family and friends. One of the beautiful things about Jobcase is how it helps you reach everyone else!
Quite often in our worklives its exactly the people we do NOT know already that can help us most with advice, tips and connections - because they have walked the road we are interested in walking. They know the path. The person who works at Walmart can tell you best how to get hired. The nurse knows best where to go for training to get a nursing job. etc. And sometimes, lets face it - its easier to bear our real concerns about salary, promotion anxiety, workplace opportunities and problems to strangers than those with whom we are most familiar. For instance, I am uncomfortable talking compensation information with my friends and family, but put me in a room with people I don't know who all are wondering if we are being fairly compensated - and its easy to share. Maybe you don't want to compare comp with the cashier next to you but its easy to compare with one in another state.
Jobcase is growing fast. And the thing that is most exciting to me right now is how Strangers are reaching out to help strangers - ALL THE TIME! Community is more than a passing thought - its strength and compassion and power. We'll keep building tools to make sure that everyone can connect with people they don't even know today - because that person is probably the exact person that you DO need to connect with to make progress in your worklife.
Thanks for being great jobcasers! We'll keep building this platform for you - and we'll keep being inspired by Jobcasers compassion and energy for one another! And I'll keep using Facebook to post pics of my daughter at dance this week, but when I need advice about work related things - I'll be coming back to my jobcase family!

I have learn and gotten advice from people in this community. It was definitely well needed.

Love this Fred! Thanks for sharing your thought and your dreams with us!
