Make money again before December ends with these quick jobs
Jump to section

Are you coming up short this December? Time may be ticking, but there are still plenty of ways for you to make some quick cash before the end of this year. These options can work for a variety of resource levels, so check out these options to see how they might work best for your current situation.

What resources do you have?

The basis for job search success is determining a job that fits your skills and resources. If you have limited time to find a job, it’s important that you do this filtering quickly so you can put all your effort toward finding the jobs that will serve you best.

I have a laptop, internet and a spot to work from home

1. 99 Dollar Social - Social Media Writer

Do you love social media? You could get paid to write social media posts on a weekly schedule for various businesses. Your job will be to work on various social media accounts and manage your posting schedule. Pay fluctuates based on how many accounts you pick up, however Social Media Managers for 99 Dollar reports average pay at up to $15 per hour.

2. Rev - Transcriptionist or Captioner

If you’re a master typist who would rather work alone than with clients or customers, consider working for Rev as an audio transcriber or a video captioner. Transcribers and captioners are paid varying rates per audio or video minute, but can make an average of $15/hr (depending on how fast they can type!)

I have a smart-phone and access to the internet

1. Instacart - In-store shopper

Instacart in-store shoppers select store items for their customers and that’s it! In-store shoppers are required to travel to the store, shop for customers and set up completed orders in the store’s designated pickup area. In-store shoppers can schedule their hours up to 29 hours per week. During shopping, shoppers may have to communicate with customers regarding order changes to ensure they’re updated if an item isn’t available. In-store shoppers can make anywhere from $14 to $25 per hour shopping for customers in stores.

2. Clickworker - User Interface Tester

Click Worker is a great service to sign up for if you don’t have a reliable computer to use or reliable wifi access. If you don’t have these, you can test from your phone! Click Worker is a widely known user testing service, and they offer all kinds of user testing tasks for their members. Clickworkers can make up to $10 per test.

3. TryMyUI - User Interface Tester

Like Clickworker, TryMyUI will allow you to test a website or app from your phone. Once you’ve completed testing, give your honest feedback and impressions for up to $10 per test, making this a good option for extra cash.

I have a car and a smart-phone

1. UberEats - Delivery Driver

Do you want to pick up and deliver meals to customers for cash? UberEats drivers can earn tips for good service, and (according to Uber) up to $20 per hour. The best thing about this job is you can work whenever you want, making it a perfect job for people who may have inconsistent availability. As a delivery driver, you go to restaurants to pick up your customer’s meal, then navigate to their house and deliver the meal to them.

2. AmazonFlex - Delivery Driver

Do you want to make sure customers get their holiday shopping delivered right? You might be a perfect fit as a delivery driver for the Amazon Flex program. During a shift, delivery workers are expected to drive to the correct Amazon fulfillment warehouse, load up their car with the packages assigned to them, and use the Flex app to navigate to the correct addresses.

3. UPS - Seasonal Personal Vehicle Driver

UPS, the popular delivery service, is now opening up their delivery service to gig workers with their new Seasonal Personal Vehicle Driver position, which offers a $3000 sign on bonus, $21 per hour rate (paid weekly) and mileage expense reimbursement for drivers, so you can be sure your hourly rate is the actual amount you take home. As a Seasonal Personal Vehicle Driver you will use your own car to deliver UPS packages to help with the higher volume of packages around the end of that year.
