Was your job impacted by COVID-19? If so, there are organizations to help like SkillUp, a non-profit dedicated to helping more than 40 million workers get ready to be rehired for in-demand jobs in high-growth industries across the country.

How does SkillUp work?

SkillUp is an organization that was launched as an “upskilling solution to help America’s laid-off and furloughed workers access the training and employment opportunities they need to secure a place in the economy of the future.”

SkillUp helps workers build new skills and improve upon existing ones so that they are eligible for promising careers with in-demand industries. The free service is offered to workers who lost jobs or wages because of #Coronavirus in 3 steps:

  1. Get career guidance: Learn about recommended career paths based on your work experience, preferences, and hot job industries in your region
  2. Get career training: Find affordable programs that fit your career goals
  3. Get hired: Connect with job openings near you that can help you advance your education and skills
