Your interview may be conducted over the phone or in person, depending on the location. To help you prepare, here are some of the most common questions you may be asked:

  • Why do you want to work for Gopuff?

  • Do you have any industry experience?

  • Why should we hire you for this position?

  • Share an example of a time when you worked in a team.

  • What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

  • Do you have any questions?

Does Gopuff do a background check?

All Gopuff delivery partners and employees need to pass a pre-employment background check. The food delivery brand uses a third-party company called Checkr to look at your history.

The background check comes after you've completed the application form and before you can start work.

This check looks at a range of areas. First, the background check verifies the information in your application. For example, are the education and experience you listed accurate?

The employer will get a copy of your criminal history. This report will show any misdemeanors or felonies in local, state, or national databases.

For potential delivery driver partners, there's also a driving record check. You'll be representing the Gopuff brand, so safety on the road is a priority. The driving record check will show any incidents, including traffic violations and serious traffic offenses. Plus, it'll make sure your license is valid.

The Gopuff background check goes back at least seven years. However, if you do have something on your background check, it may not automatically exclude you from the job. If time has passed and it's a non-serious crime, you may still be considered. You can talk about your personal circumstances with the hiring manager.

For most jobs, you won't need a credit check.

Does Gopuff do a drug screening test?

Gopuff doesn't usually do a drug screening test. Keep in mind, though, that any drug offenses will show up on your background check.

For example, if you've ever been caught driving under the influence, this will be on your background check report. Drug-related crimes can be a red flag for Gopuff hiring managers.

What benefits do you get at Gopuff?

Because Gopuff drivers are independent contractors, they don't get traditional benefits. The main advantages of this role are choosing your own hours and keeping 100% of your tips.

You can protect your income with a flexible spending account (FSA). With this option, you can set aside money each pay to be used on unexpected health expenses. These savings aren't taxed, which gives you more money to spend.
