Full-time employees at fulfillment centers are offered highly-competitive pay, health insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plans and company stock.
In addition to these benefits, the pay inside Amazon fulfillment centers is, on average, 30 percent higher than employees' pay in traditional retail stores and Amazon was one of the first retail-driven companies to raise their minimum wage to $15 an hour.
It’s important to note that the below benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment.
Health & Medical Insurance
Amazon provides multiple options to give you the flexibility to select the right health care coverage for you and eligible family members. Several plans include a Health Savings Account (with employee and employer contributions), and multiple network providers for the best care in your area. You can also enroll in Dental and Vision plans as well as a Flexible Spending Accounts for health and dependent care.
Financial Benefits
Amazon’s 401(k) plan provides an opportunity to defer compensation for your long-term savings and includes a company match.
Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability.
Restricted Stock Units (RSUs): At Amazon, most employees have the ability to become “owners” of the company through the granting and vesting of Restricted Stock Units.
Additional Benefits & Perks:
Employee Assistance Program provides confidential 24/7 support, resources and referrals for every aspect of work and personal life.
They also offer online resources for parents whose children struggle with developmental disabilities, as well as help finding child and elder care referrals and assistance.
Employees have access to financial counseling, estate planning and other services in the event of a life-threatening illness or death.
Adoption Assistance
Maternity and Parental Leave
Amazon offers a range of up to 20 weeks of fully paid maternity and paternity leave, including innovative programs such as Leave Share and Ramp Back. Both these programs give new parents flexibility with their growing families. Parental options require at least one year of continuous service by the date of a child’s birth or adoption placement.
Leave Share lets employees share their Amazon paid leave with their spouse or domestic partner if their spouse's employer doesn't offer paid leave.
Ramp Back gives new moms additional control over the pace at which they return to work. Just as with Amazon's health care plan, they're the same for fulfillment center and customer service employees as they are for Amazon's most senior executives.
Time Off: Employees earn paid time off in addition to company paid holidays.
Amazon.com Employee Discount: employees receive an annual discount on products sold and shipped by Amazon.com.
Amazon Career-Choice Program
Both full-time and part-time employees are eligible to continue or advance their careers through the Amazon Career-Choice Program.
After you've been employed by Amazon for as little as one continuous year, the Amazon Career Choice Program will pre-pay 95% of tuition and fees for you to earn certificates and associate degrees in high-wage, in-demand occupations such as aircraft mechanics, computer-aided design, machine tool technologies, medical lab technologies, nursing, and many other fields.
Amazon will also reimburse 95% of the cost of all required textbooks. The program will pay up to $3,000 per year in tuition, textbooks and associated fees for up to four years.
The company has built dedicated Career Choice classrooms at more than 25 fulfillment centers to make it easier for employees to go back to school by offering classes onsite.
