Retail giant #Amazon just announced that they will be hiring 100k seasonal workers at various positions in their company. Due to the volume of positions and Amazon’s nationwide reach, that could mean there are vacancies near you!

Why is Amazon hiring so many workers?

With seasonal hiring one the rise many companies are bulking up their support for jobs in product transport, warehouse and customer facing positions. And Amazon is no exception! Amazon packers focus on taking completed orders from their picker colleagues and packaging the orders both efficiently and carefully, to avoid products becoming damaged in transit. This job would require applicants to lift heavy products, and requires dexterity in order to repeatedly build boxes and consistently package them well.

If you’re someone who loves solving puzzles, suchs as “how do I best fit these two items in the same box” this job may be a good fit for you. Once you’ve completed packing, you would pass your completed order on to warehouse delivery workers.

An Amazon warehouse delivery worker takes completed orders from packers and loads up delivery trucks for delivery out to the customers who ordered them. These jobs would require a considerable amount of lifting and bending, so this would be best suited to those who would love to build up some strength during the workday.

You’ll also need a bit of puzzling skills for this job as well, as you’ll want to load up trucks to contain as many orders as possible, but also in a way that’s most convenient for your drivers.
