I interviewed with a company last week who quickly turned around and scheduled a 2nd interview last week as well. Then today they send me an email saying we are just starting the recruiting process and will get back to you if you are chosen to move forward. They seemed super interested in the first two interviews but now I feel like they threw the brakes on. Would you be super angry and frustrated or would you think you are still in the running?? #WTF #WTH #INTERVIEWPROCESS #JOBGAME #BS

For the company 51 years. He walked into my office and told me my services for no longer needed I termed was timmediately. When I asked the reason answer was because of the financial crunch that they’re in and they’re just trying to cut when I can. There is another manager Who just started a couple months back in a position and I asked why they didn’t let him go and they said something about experience before miss etc. which I don’t believe because I have way more experience than he does and I have not been written up and over 40 years. I am starting to wonder if I am the only Black Black female managers across the board #jobsearch # #termination
True Story I Must Share. In my early 20's I landed an interview with a major graphics company in Washington State. I was invited by a staff member to a waiting room with a glass bowl full of M&M's in the middle of the table I was sitting at. I waited forever it seemed for the owner/manager to finally come in. Several times there were different staff members that came in and seemed to push the M&M's on me which i refused to eat. I didn't want my teeth full of that when talking to the owner. Well I didn't get the job and was shocked when notified and just couldn't understand why. A couple of years later this subject came up with an old friend who I hadn't seen in quite a while. He ate the M&M's in his interview and didn't care when the boss came in and caught him stuffing his face. He was hired immediately after the interview. We still agree it was the candy that got him the job and the agreement that I am, and have been a more qualified graphics artist than him either way. LOL! #jobsearch #interview #stressful #management
I find jobs that don’t pay long hours for salaries stressful not organized companies or commissions and stressful sales jobs. I want to give to others , help people but don’t want to do another 4 or 5 years to be a nurse or do minimal jobs like cna? HELP IM 45
For the Midwest, the weather is getting cold, and the snow season is right around the corner, or already other states are snowing.
I didn’t mind commuting to work an hour and 30 minutes. After the covid pandemic hit us, taking the train or bus got hard because they were always delays, and it was stressful to arrive at work late. I’m not mentioning late-night crime on train stations. I was a witness that someone fell asleep on the train ( I guess he was drunk) and another guy took and robbed him of everything)
Last summer, I found a job at one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood. Since then, I have been working there, and the only walking distance is 5 minutes. I don’t have to deal with delayed trains or buses.
What is your experience commuting to your job? Would you prefer to cut the long commute? Please, share your opinion with a comment down below.

Ok, my work background is not being in the restaurant, but it's a vital question for anyone's job. So I come from a union workers perspective and we always go more than Union sends us, but working in the Union you make really good money but the really good benefits and an annuity in all the perks. So if we travel an hour or two we really don't care you go where the work is. In the restaurant business it all depends on what kind of work you do and the tips you make I'm not going to travel an hour to work at TGI Fridays but I will if I'm going to go work at a Ruth Chris see the difference it's all depends on what restaurant and then what kind of money you make.
My Opinion, Yes I would drive during a snow Event... Only if my Vehicle is well Equipped for all weather Elements...
Each day I submit application after application and I can not get any connection to any employers it just sends me to surveys and restart over and over again so frustrated with this job sites searches
