You’d think that folks who work in Restaurants are more careful than anyone, not to come in when they’re sick. 🤒 Unfortunately though, it is extremely difficult to take a sick day when employed in #Foodservices. 🥺 🤧 ❤️‍🔥

Often there will be a lot of pressure from management and others, to come in, regardless of your health or symptoms. 🤢 During the past decade, I’ve honestly seen hundreds of Restaurant workers on the job while ill. 🤕 😪 🍔

Obviously great hygiene, like masks and hand washing, can help prevent the spread of illness, and everyone handling food and beverages should follow as many safety guidelines as possible at all times, even when they’re healthy!! 💧🧼 🫧

As a very very very germ conscious person, I would be adamant about avoiding spreading illness when working in Restaurants personally, and luckily usually found someone to switch shifts with me, or pick mine up. 🤵🏻‍♀️📆 I worked hard to stay healthy, and never wanted to put any Customers in danger. It’s great to step in for coworkers who need you to cover sometimes, when you can, so that when you’re unable to come in, you have a couple favors to use and the Restaurant stays fully staffed. 👯‍♀️

You would be SHOCKED at the way hygiene rules in Restaurants would be broken before Covid. 🥴 I’ve seen some changes and improvements since then, but that doesn’t mean Restaurants are willing to be Short Staffed just because someone isn’t feeling their best. That guilt of causing strife and extra work for your coworkers by calling off is a HUGE motivator to get Staff to come in to work, and keep serving Food and Drinks while under the weather! 😓 ⛈ 🌬

Things have changed in millions of ways since the Pandemic started, but needing more sick days away from work have been one of the biggest changes for us all! This virus is going to be part of the rest of our whole lives, and most of us will get it over and over, many times. 😭

Working from Home has opened up a lot of new doors for flexibility when it comes to work, but it can still be hard to work from home when you’re feeling sick. 🛋 💻 😵‍💫 ☕️

Does your job let you take time off when you’re sick? Do you come into work anyway when you are sick? How often do you need to stay home these days? Are you able to work from home when you aren’t feeling well?? 😮‍💨🥴

Hi! ☺️ I’m a 39 year old former business owner from Norway who has met love in New York and am currently looking for a job in the U.S. I am looking for a company who would be able to, and interested in sponsoring me so I can work in the U.S (remotely preferably). I speak Norwegian and English fluently and have excellent comprehension in German and Swedish. My work experience since having my own business includes recruiting, sales, accounting, organizing, budgetting, inspiring and motivating speaches for other shop owners - and my biggest passion: customer service. I am a «potato» as we say in Norway. I can do a lot of different things. And I also love learning and growing! Not sure if this is the right page to post this, but it probably cant hurt right?😅🤷🏼‍♀️

Have an amazing day and thank u for reading! Please share with me if you have any tips 🙏🏻

I recently accepted a job offer, and a few days in and I already hate it. No one knows anything. Everyone is lost on what to do. Almost everyone, and I mean almost EVERYONE, QUIT. There are only four people, including myself, and they're new like me. The one who "knows" the most has only been at the company for a month. Like wtf? The boss is a lunatic who only cares about money and sending fucking emojis. Anyway, I start sending jobs application again. I thought I was done with that. Sorry for the bad grammar. # #management #advice #jobsearch

I'm telling you the truth..(Read Without Fail.)

If I could say this 1,001 times, then, get down on one knee and flip 100 pancakes in the air to catch them before they fall...I would.

With hopes that would consider this next statement:

One of your greatest errors in 2023 will be..."failure to believe in yourself."

Failing to believe in yourself, unseeingly causes...

  • Windows and doors to close right in front of your eyes.
  • Opportunities to walk the other way.
  • People to devalue your potential and skills.
  • Dysfunction in the mechanics of your frame of mind.
  • Failure to suffocate your fondest dreams in life.

If you start believing in yourself at least 0.001% you could flip/flop your thinking with a smile

Then, everything else will fall-in-place for you without a doubt

I Believe You Can...!

@Ashley Earle Are you a teen who is looking for a job that will work with your school hours? I saw that there were a lot of Restaurants at English Creek Shopping Center. Including Indian, Thai, and Japanese establishments! Applying to work as a Hostess at one of these, for a few part time night shifts during the week, might be the best option for you! Let this Community know how else we can help you or if you're unsure how to apply to one of these places! Good Luck! 💖

I'm telling you the truth...

No matter what comes against you in 2023, friends, family members, old aquintances, lighting, thunder, rain, sleet, hell or snow.

EVEN a bulldozer, tractor trailer, truck or construction crane.

If you "act on your measure of faith" everything standing against from the past, present or in the future; will stand in amazement and let you pass through

That's my level of positive thinking called a Unwavering Frame of Mind. You can too!

That's how you cause everything else to fall-in-place for you.

I Believe You Can...!
