In today's digital age, job seekers must be vigilant about the increasing number of fake job ads. Scammers are getting more sophisticated, but you can protect yourself by knowing the signs and taking the right steps if you accidentally share personal information. Be cautious of unsolicited offers, extremely high salaries for minimal work, vague job descriptions, immediate job offers without proper vetting, and unprofessional communication. If you share personal information, stay calm and assess what you shared, place a fraud alert with a major credit bureau, change your passwords, monitor your accounts for unusual activity, and report the scam to your bank, credit card company, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Our Company was purchased recently. Then the purchase was held up by the Federal Government. So the uncertainty is making my future uncertain. I have worked for this company more than half my life. I am sad to leave, but I want to be safe in a secure job.

My sister got lucky and got a position similar to what she was doing at PNC after they threw her away after 30 years. Unfortunately the company is a well-known health insurance company that is in the process of merging with another health insurance company. I also recently interviewed there. Unlikely to go anywhere but there is a chance. As we all know mergers nearly always mean job loss. I am really scared about that possibility. So scared I can't be excited about her new job. I feel paralyzed with fear. Should I be concerned

They say you should be great at what you do but never become indispensable in your job because that means you can never move up. I think I've become indispensable. So, what do I do now? I don't want to be in the same place in five years!

These days the employee is treated like dirt. I remember when getting fired from a job was a really bad thing. You really did something wrong to get fired. I not long ago got fired for parking my pickup in a parking spot someone else felt was their private parking spot. The spot was unmarked and wasn't used prior to me pulling there.2 months prior to that I got 3 day suspension for attending a safety meeting. So I knew my job was soon going. Why is it the employees have no rights? I filed a charge with EEOC in Dallas, but the company I charged , got it transferred to San Antonio . And then suddenly there was no grounds for my charge. This company even went so far as falsify my termination date to keep from paying owed vacation pay. My document of termination says one date signed by my Supervisor . And corporate data on their computer says 3 days prior. It is my opinion if you drop enough cash down even the people whom are supposed to be there for you will turn a blind eye. So tell me where did job security go?
