I have 22 years in the automotive industry and for the last 10 years I have been doing a lot of purchasing due to the demands and changes in the industry. Now that I have graduated with my bachelor's in business I have been applying for buyer/procurement positions (entry level) with bigger companies. I have basically had no luck for a year and I m starting to think it is my age(39). It seems like companies would rather choose a young kid who has probably never worked before over someone like me who has tremendous work ethics.
the turn over rate is high for a reason try to find other employment if you can I worked there for four years and was a great employee but I was taken for granted
The Joseph Patelson Music House was the last family owned music store in New York City but alas, like The Colosseum Book Store, it is no longer in existence. For years it was the premier store for finding classical sheet music and various musical acrutraments. It was located directly behind Carnegie Hall and was the first stop for all serious classical music musicians in the city. Its loss will be felt for many years to come. The Book Store connected with The Julliard School Of Music is perhaps the closest classical music store for obtaining sheet music on the scale of the musical selections carried by the Joseph Patelson Music House. New York City is poorer for its loss!
Be prepared to receive an extreme amount of pressure and bad attitude from management.
I enjoyed working at Kaman, I started at the bottom back in 84 and worked my way up. I thought I would retire from there but then there was a big lay-off and I was hit in 2013.
