McDonald’s is just like every other job working your way up to better promotions and better pay. I know someone who started off working at McDonald’s now he’s the head manager and owns the McDonald’s he started working at. there is always more and better opportunity no matter what job you have.
Job tenure goes a long way toward teaching a kid how to become a responsible worker and adult in general. There are many people who started out at McDonalds working as a cashier who now own their own franchises or at the very least are managing a McDonald's operation. It pays to stay in many cases.

Jobs like McDonald's, and burger king was never meant to be a career job, if you work at McDonald's and be like why should someone stay if they work there.. you answered your own question... small jobs like that were only suppose to be a stepping stone to pave a path for you the food industry road... or help you realize it's not for you and create a separate path to a different type of job.

stay? mcdonalds is a awful job. it is not this happy meal I'm lovin it place. it is really a nightmare working there. the pay is very awful for the amount of bs you will be putting up with. you can't pay bills with a 8$ salary. that can barely get you by on food. plus this is active income money so of course this job is only meant for short term until you know how to make passive income that where the real money generator will be at.
I am wondering what you think is good money and where are you located? Restaurants usually don’t pay well enough for the store managers to keep their hands off the money. $120-$200k is an adequate salary for someone with responsibility. I know someone who works in fast food management and it doesn’t pay well enough after 20 years of service with the company. They are looking for a different career path to follow now.
