According to the scenario presented; “laid off for 15 months and still having a difficult time getting on the feet” A) is possible the career you are pursuing is over saturated in market you currently resides? (perhaps you will need to relocate) B) assess the marketable skills you’ve gained from your previous job. (look to see how those skills-set are transferable to another job) C) Should you be. passionate about a certain field of study. (Looking into that endeavor, to see how you can leverage your life-skills into a new career)

Bottom-line jobs are not permanent! Think of a job as a vehicle! Its purpose is get the individual to a desired destination!

Sometimes; no-fault of your own, the vehicle gets damage beyond repair! (You naturally wouldn't attempt to continue driving that vehicle would you?)

U all are so very encouraging to others and to me. Thank you so very much as I been feeling discouraged lately. Like 1 thing after another has been going wrong in my Life. I choose to see things in a positive way. As I'm going to restrategize my priorities and focus on one thing at a time and not get overwhelmed.

Start studying new areas of interest. Now is the time to use for exploring short term certifications in other areas. At least it will help pay the bills, till other work in your respective discipline comes available.

Hang in there - maybe take a job less than the one you had before to get started again.

Just don’t give up my friend persistence patience and faith pay off it always has for me anyway I’m a older guy now and I wish I had learned that lesson of persistence and patience I probably would’ve been retired by now don’t let anyone tell you to change your path if it’s something you are passionate about keep searching that door will open you might have to do something else for the time being but remember persistence patience and faith God bless you this hardship will pass my friend.
