My superhero, although not many would think right away that this could be one, is the Unicorn!

The reason is because they are described and known for being desirable, special, rare, pure, powerful, and highly valued!

In full disclosure, in April of 2024, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer after finding a 2.7cm lump (tumor) on my 44th birthday, that proved to be fast growing and having no indication of slowing down.

I had to endure 24 weeks of 4 different chemotherapy drugs in hopes that I would get a response to one of them. TNBC is very hard to treat due to not responding well to chemotherapy.

During that time, and because of the volunteer work I have done the past 14 years, my community rallied around me showing me just how much they have respected, valued, and have appreciated, the years and countless hours every week that I had invested in the community, especially our youth programs.

I was described at that time as a Unicorn, and my cancer battle gained the attention and support that was truly remarkable! Soon after the hashtag name as #unicornstrong came to life and spread like wildfire!

I feel that not only the symbol of a unicorn is an incredible superhero, but I have become my own superhero because of it!

Batman because he is very wise and think on his feet

Batman because he is just a man with no super powers just his brain which is logical and creative and always one step ahead of the bad guys were everyone else is a mutant or alien base character with. Unlike human powers to fly etc .

My favorite answer to this question is, "Batman, because he has the best villains."

While this is true, I happen to think the style employed in the comics, films, and TV shows is a cut above the rest. I also find the character's intellect and resourcefulness interesting admirably qualities in lieu of superpowers. Who's cooler than Batman? Heh!
