How would you feel about a role that requires you to alter your appearance (cut your hair, remove a piercing etc.)? Would you even apply for said role? Why or why not?

Truck Driver at Sdj Trucking

Yes, hair can grow back! I don't think looking like a "HARDWARE STORE on your face or being a "2 legged coloring book" would attract an employer. IMAGE is th key. You'll reflect th co. You work for, their customers will see what type of people they hire, & most of all "YOUR IMAGE" & *ATTITUDE * goes a long way when stopped by the D.O.T. & STATE POLICE.. 43 yrs driving Both OTR & LOCAL coast to coast in every type of weather condition...

It kind of depends... I've often worked at places with a dress-code, which didn't really bother me. I also do have any visible tattoos, piercings, etc. that might be considered disruptive in any way.

I would, of course, be willing to comply with appearance and dress code for a position with a company that paid me well, based on merit, and would treat me fairly.
