I was asked what the worst thing I had to do was? My reply was cleaning the men's bathroom after a grown man had been in there over an hour and some how gotten poop everywhere. It was caked on the walls and covered the sink.
I was asked what animals I worked with . I was a docent at the zoo so my answer made the blood drain from his face. Overkill on my part, but I still find it hilarious when I think about it. I think I heard my resume hit the trash can. Live and learn , Ford
I was intervening for a shop welder. I had prepared for the interview with notes and and homework of the company. Now, mind that I have a very impressive resume and experience. I have been in the pipe and millwright trades for over 20 years. Was in a rut for my career and thought ok I’ll try and get my foot in on the ground floor. All of that went out the window when this ladies first question was “Why do you want to weld for me? A person with your qualifications wouldn’t even call this welding.” It made take a step back and have to re-evaluate what to say. I was not prepared for this, but don’t tell an interviewer that you are going through a hiccup in your career and was looking for a fresh start and you may not be in the position long but are looking to stay with the company with advancement. She had the weirdest into question I had ever heard in an interview but she must have done her homework and knew that it was a bit off the wall but it must have told her what she needed to hear because I didn’t get the job.
So was just interviewed for a crisis hotline specialist! Was asked if a person is suicidal and driving towards a bridge how would I handle the situation? Lord and behold!!! The second
the craziest is im asked to do something you want even do
Cleaning both men and womens bathroom
The guy asked for a color which was also represented by a number on a scale. I gave him the answer which impressed him.
no cleaning bathroom
i was asking for all
During An Interview, The Interviewer Made Several References To How Nice My Full Head Of Hair Was At My Age.
The First Mention Struck Me Odd, The Second Referance, Raised An Eyebrow, But The Third Made Me Realize That I Was Not Going To Get This Opportunity Offered To Me. Why?
Oh, I Am Definately Qualified & Perfect For This Recruiting Manager Role, But My Interviewer, 20 Years My Junior Had An Obvious Image Issue, As A Bald Headed Senior Recruiter.
Funny, But I Never Even Focussed On His Lack Of Hair. I Was More Interested In Having Him Remain As A Lead.
I Thanked Him For His Time, But He Kept Looking At My Hair. I Battled With The Idea Of Making A Call To Their Corporate Office, But Decided That He Needed The Position More Than I Needed The Position.
Some People Will Judge You Un Righteously, In The Weirdest Ways, But How You Handle The Obvious & Quetionable Behavior Is What You Can Control In A Situation You Just Can't Control.
