Why is it so hard to find a part time job? I have applied to so many and never hear back. And the ones I do hear from never both to call me or let me know the position was filled. I have retail, customer service, Administrative Assistant experience and I currently owner my own house Cleaning business. I am very frustrated with the job market. I just want part time like to 20 hours to help supplement my house cleaning business.
@deleted user Hello Cynthia, I’m sorry to hear this. If it makes you feel better, you’re not alone, it’s hard for a lot of people to find jobs right now, both full time and part time. I’ve helped quite a few people land interviews, here’s my advice for you, first, ensure you have an Applicant Tracking System compliant resume (Google this is you’re not sure what it is) this can usually push your application/resume to the front of the pile. And, not to diminish any of your effort, but, 25 applications since July is kind of low and not enough. To be successful in today’s competitive market I highly recommend sending at least 5 applications a day or 25 per week. This may seem excessive but it will give you the best possible chance of receiving a call back and scheduling an interview. My method isn’t fool proof but if you stick to what I say you should be able to at least land an interview. Hope this helps and good luck 👍🏼
Hey @deleted user, I'm so sorry for what you are going through right now. Job-seeking is a difficult journey. I urge you to apply for as many possible jobs. You will increase your chances. I hope my advice helps you.
I am currently on 4 job sites that I redid when I got married in August. I follow up but they never respond. Half these companies never even look at the application. I have filled out 25 or so application since July. I am about to give up.
I understand your frustration in finding a part-time job. It can be challenging, but don't lose hope. Here are three suggestions to improve your search:
Build a strong online presence: Create profiles on popular job search platforms like Indeed, Jobcase, and other local job boards. Regularly update your resume and apply to relevant part-time positions.
Networking: Reach out to people in your industry or local community who might know of part-time opportunities. Attend job fairs, industry events, and join professional groups to expand your network.
Follow up: After applying, send a polite follow-up email or make a phone call to express your interest and inquire about the status of your application. This proactive approach can demonstrate your enthusiasm and commitment to potential employers.
Remember, finding a job takes time and persistence. By leveraging online platforms, networking, and maintaining consistent follow-up, you can increase your chances of finding a part-time job to supplement your house cleaning business. Good luck!
Hi, have you considered driving School Bus? You'll get the amount of hours you want plus usually pretty decent pay. Great flexible option 😄 check out your local school district, I'm sure they'll offer you training!
