Applicants required to prove COVID vaccination - what do you think?

Looks like some really larger employers are now requiring proof of a COVID vaccine to get hired or to work there. Do you think that's fair? #coronavirus #jobsearch #aboutmyjob

That is just another way to segregate our society in a time when we need to come together. The vaccine is not 100% effective and many people are at risk of negative effects from it. People such as myself who have had the disease should be immune from it as much as anyone who’s received the vaccine.

That would be a job I would not apply for on principle. What ever happened to HIPAA?

No, this is not fair. There are many of us who are not getting the vaccine yet. Everyone has their own reason(s) for this. This is a way of punishing us because we are not following the rules. I, personally, have several questions that have yet to be answered. We had a speaker from the CDC (a doctor) and she couldn't even answer the questions that were being asked.

It just bothers me... I have the choice to take it, but in actuality my choices are being taken away from me.

No flights at some point, no job... what is next? I think it to soon to get it for me, not speaking for anyone else.

No we should not be forced to have a vaccine that should be of our own choice this is American you know the country that Americans have their own choices to do as they choose not to be forced to do something we decide is in the best interest for our selves our choice not yours and heck who knows the shot could do more harm than good. Did you people ever think about that.

That in itself is discrimination.

I am a RN and while I do stand by people getting vaccinated, I can assure you it does not prevent the spread or the fact you can still get the Covid just that the symptoms will be more mild on those with immunities. Also, you should not rule out someone if they can prove they have antibodies to Covid rather than a shot card! At the end of the day businesses can choose to do what they think is best for them, but still keeping distance, washing hands and wearing face coverings as well as staying home when sick is the best deterrent to getting or giving Covid to others.

That a potential employer would require this is ludicrous and set's a precedent that is scary. Scary because otherwise great prospective employees will remain out of reach and unemployed simply due to their beliefs that it is their body, their choice to not take a vaccine. The vaccines have only been approved for 'emergency use. And for those companies to at first suspend, then terminate any employee who does not take the vaccine isn't that a violation of the Nuremberg Code? These vaccines are not yet proven and therfore are 'experimental, case in point, they are now saying a 'booster' and or an additional Annual shot must be taken.
