Although I retired in 2021 after 20+ years as a FT Case Manager at a large specialty hospital, I find myself in the market to return to the work world. Wondering whether hospitals would consider hiring me after being in "storage" the last couple of years.

While the above advice is good, you need to keep in mind two things: 1. Your skills and experience did not expire when you retired, and 2. The industry has not changed very much in the last few years. Simply update your resume and get current letters of recommendation if available. If asked what you've been doing since you ended your last position, don't say I retired, but rather I took a few years off to .... .... .... and tell them what you've accomplished, which can be traveled with my wife, spent time with the grandchildren, mastered golf (with a small joke about chasing a small ball you purposely hit with a club), etc. No other explanation is necessary, and they emphatically state, "And now I am ready to get back to helping people through (name of position applied for). Your experience is fairly rarified, and getting a position quickly should be as easy as finding it to apply.
