How hard is it to get a Housekeeper job?
Getting a housekeeping job isn't hard it's keeping the job that can be hard. You have a time limit on getting a room clean, specific set ups for items in the room and a standard on how the bed, towels etc should be. You are given a training period in many hotels if you can't do any of these after a certain amount of time you may be terminated.
It is like that at any housekeeping job, Jennie!!
I find it faster when I take shortcuts and still get it clean!!
For instance, take a wet and dry paper towel to wet the faucets and take the dry one to shine it up! Saves about 5 mins and keep moving! Do all trash first, strip the bed, do your bathroom, dust all furniture, tv etc, vacuum real fast, make your bed and done!
I was hired recently for a housekeeping job in a town near me. I worked alongside a person that had been there for a lot longer than me. After two days I was told that my room cleaning was great but I wasn't fast enough so I was terminated. I don't think I was given enough time to get up to speed. Was told their time allowed per room was 30 minutes.
Not hard at all, as long as you are a hard worker and don't mind a physical job. I loved it because you were basically left alone to do your work and you really don't have much contact with the public.
Not hard at all they always have need for housekeepers this time of year
