Sure. Just don't tell them. Then after you get hired tell them that you need medical accommodations. It sounds like your doctor would be able to write that up for you! They can't let you go because of the ADA, and it sounds like with a little extra time you would be an asset to any company! Good luck!

Be careful as most applications ask a question of need for accommodation. If you answer no and then request one it may be considered as falsification of an employment application.

I work for them myself as provider service advocate and I will tell you , there is a lot programs and step that need to be fill out to create an authorization or to search for a NPI OR TAx ID COUPLE OF PAGES WHERE TO SEARCH A MEMBER WHEN IT DOES NOT PULL UP IN THE MAIN PAGE , ALSO JOB AID FOR PROVIDER REDIRECT LINES ETC.

Exactly what Angela Schleter said. It’s vonlrnteery if you put on you application if you have a disability. Or you can select not specified. After receiving the job offer, ask for a HR accommodation for those with disabilities. I had four strokes that left me with congestive heart failure and I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I under your memory issues completely. That has not prevented me from excelling at work. Use one note and sticky notes for quick references. With one note you can completely organize and share documents as well that will sync in with any changes. Good luck to you.

I have the same short term memory disability due to a liver illness. Graduated Cum Laude with an Associate's in Science degree in medical assisting. I worked for a leading Dermatologist in FL. However, that was 20 years ago. I'm open to most types of work, except cashier positions for big companies. I'm very easy to get along with and want to start, getting back slowly to making a paycheck. Anybody know any place that would be willing to work with my nervousness and sometimes short term memory issues? It's only a few seconds, and I remember.
